COVID-19 LOCKDOWN 2.0


With the recent news that a new UK lockdown will be in place from Thursday, 5th November, 2020 until 3rd December, 2020 we are pleased to inform you that Seven Hotel will remain open strictly for those who still need to travel for work, for our key workers and for our long staying guests (over 28 days stay).

Anybody checking into the hotel will need to sign a declaration stating that they are staying for the aforementioned reasons only and will have to provide proof that they are staying only under the required criteria.

During the uncertain days and weeks ahead, we will continue to provide a safe and welcoming home for our guests. However, there will be limited staff available.

Our bar and restaurant will be closed but we will be offering a take away service of our fusion menu together with our take away afternoon tea service. The fusion menu will be available daily from midday until 10.00 pm and the afternoon tea menu will be available Thursday to Sunday. Afternoon Tea will need to be pre-ordered 24 hours before collection.

Unfortunately none of the communal areas will be accessible for guests. The only breakfast that will be available is a light continental breakfast which will be delivered to your room. Unfortunately we cannot offer any specialist teas/coffees.

Safeguarding the health and wellbeing of our guests and colleagues continues to be our primary concern and we will continue to follow all of the Government guidelines.

Reservations remain open for the remainder of the year and into 2021 with tempting rates and the flexibility that everybody needs right now.

Before You Arrive


In order to understand the new ‘normal’ and make your visit as enjoyable and safe as possible, we will ensure that you are aware of all of the new safety procedures that will be put in place before your arrival.

Our whole hotel will be terminally cleaned and sanitised to the highest standard. We politely ask all of our guests to not enter the premises if you have suspected possible COVID-19 symptoms or if you have come into contact with a suspected COVID-19 carrier.

Pre-arrival communications will be given to provide additional information regarding your accommodation. All guests will be called in advance to confirm your details and our Reservations Team will be able to provide you with all the necessary information regarding staying, dining and any queries that you may have.


Arrival & Check In


As you arrive at the hotel, there will be a number of signs to adhere to the social distancing measures provided by the Government. We will also be using your contact details for the Government Track & Trace programme. We are at liberty to hold your details for 3 weeks to comply with this government request. All guests who enter the hotel will have to wear a face covering when moving around the hotel or will be asked to leave. We politely ask for guests to stick to the directional floor signs and queuing with the appropriate distance. Protective screens will be used at guest and employee contact points for safer check-in. Throughout the hotel there will be sanitising stations and we ask that these are used as frequently as possible. We encourage guests who are staying with us at the Seven Hotel to use the bathrooms in your bedrooms when possible to reduce congestion.

Each guest will be charged for their room on arrival. There will be no additional charges to guest’s rooms as both the bar and restaurant will be closed. There will be a takeaway menu available and guests will need to pay for this when their food is collected/delivered.


Room Service & Breakfast


Both the bar and Aurum Restaurant will remain closed during this lockdown period. There will be a takeaway service available from 12 midday until 10.00 pm daily and there will be limited soft drinks available on the takeaway menu. We are unable to sell any alcohol during this lockdown period.

We are also offering afternoon tea as a takeaway from Thursday until Sunday during this time.


During your stay


At this time, staff will not be able to access guest’s bedrooms. Our Housekeeping team will deep clean all rooms before arrival as per government guidelines, but for our guests staying more than one night, their room will not be serviced. Should additional amenities and/or fresh towels be needed, they can be requested by calling the reception desk. Staff will wash/sanitise their hands before delivering fresh items which will be left outside the room.

If any of our guests are staying for a week or more then the rooms will be deep cleaned once a week.

Our Polyester linen are laundered at 60c, dried at 55c and ironed between 180c-210c. For Cotton linen, they are laundered at 60c, dried 65c and ironed between 180c-210c

All guest will have to adhere to the one-way system using the floor markings and are encouraged to wash their hands regularly. Hand sanitisers are placed in the public areas of the hotel which can be used by all guests.

We encourage guests who are staying with us at the Seven Hotel to use the bathrooms in your bedrooms when possible to reduce congestion.


Aurum Restaurant and Bar


Both the bar and Aurum Restaurant will remain closed during this lockdown period. There will be a takeaway service available from 12 midday until 10.00 pm daily and there will be limited soft drinks available on the takeaway menu. We are unable to sell any alcohol during this lockdown period.

Aurum Restaurant will be serving an A la Carte menu from Thursday to Saturday from 12:00 midday and to be able to adhere to our legal obligations, we will take last orders at 20:30 and all guests dining in the Restaurant and Bar will be asked to leave shortly before 22:00. We offer a Sunday Roast which begins at midday until last orders at 18:15.

We are also offering afternoon tea as a takeaway from Thursday until Sunday during this time.


Check Out


To minimise contact, we kindly ask that you telephone reception from your room to inform them that you are checking out. Any keys should be left in the room on checkout. An invoice of your stay can be emailed and will be charged to the credit or debit card provided for authorisation. Please use the hand sanitisers before leaving the hotel. p>


Employee Safety Initiatives


We want to reassure all of our guests at the Seven Hotel that all of our employees will undergo comprehensive health & safety training to maintain our high standards. All necessary PPE equipment will be provided to our staff and we will be checking the temperatures of our staff on a regular basis to minimise the risk of infection.

We will continue to review all of the procedures frequently and align with the Government guidelines.
